Welcome to the Army High Performance Computing Research Center. We are a consortium of universities that includes Stanford University as the lead, The University of Texas, El Paso, New Mexico State University, and Morgan State University. We are working in cooperation with the Army Research Laboratory on advancing the field of Computation-Based Engineering Science. Our primary focus is on capabilities and solutions relevant to the technical needs of the U.S. Army. Our research projects address challenges in multi-scale and multi-physics modeling, integration of simulation methods with measurement systems, model validation and verification, working with large data sets and complex mathematical and physical systems, data integration and visualization, and the education of student and early-career scientists and engineers, including those from underrepresented minorities.
Realizing that much of the current computational software in is inadequate for dealing with the multifaceted applications and challenges of Computation-Based Engineering Science, we are also developing new software tools, paradigms, and protocols that allow our novel algorithms to leverage novel hardware and achieve maximum scalability.
